    The AliRaj is nicely placed in the Village of Newdigate, It is almost opposite The Surrey Oaks Public House. We had a pre-dinner drink at the Surrey Oaks and then walked across to the AliRaj. The service was very good, the menu was extensive and suited the needs of four hungry adults. We had a varied choice of food which was served warm and on time. One of our group liked the food so much he bought a carry-out to take home, aledgedly for his wife. The food was great value for money., and we were not stung for the cost of the alcohol John Buchanan
